Lost and Found Photographs Identified
Eight Victorian Photo Albums and Individuals
Some where on this planet are the descendants of the people in the following vintage scrapbooks and it could be you!
Photos Made Perfect is making an effort to return lost antique photo albums to their descendants. We are hopeful and prefer to find the descendants of this book, with that said, if someone shows an interest in these photo for any other reason than genealogy, we will consider the opportunity to make better use of them. There is a charge for copies.
These photographs are interesting for many reasons. You may be searching for a surname that may be in these books. They are an opportunity to study for photographic styles, an interest to costume designers and home decorators. These books are a collection of cabinet cards, card de visits and tintypes. Teachers can direct students to this site, to see why or how we know so much about times past, by studying photographs. They are useful for photo dating as well. You may be interested in finding photos by a particular photographer from the 1800"s to help you with photo dating. We listed the names of photographers and their addresses found on the backs of these photos. Many of the images have names and dates on them. Give us a call. 619-397-7600. Any one that has found photographs with names on them and would like to display them here, are welcome. If someone contacts us about a photo you placed, we will give them your contact information. Just e-mail us the photo, give us your contact information and tell us anything you can about the photo that would be helpful.

P.S. After many years posted... believe it or not! people have found lost relatives in these books! Some people were under the unfounded impression that upon being found, the photos would be given to them free of charge. Good news! you found them and all we ask is a small fee for a printable copy or the original, depending which image it is, five to seven dollars. We think this is reasonable since there is a cost to purchasing them and having them scanned and present on this site since 2003 to present.
